The need for nomograms in ophthalmology is constant and seems to be always changing depending on the specifics of the operation involved. The problem with nomograms is the need to be extremely specific concerning the operation, seemingly insignificant changes can often engender huge unwanted changes in outcome. These nomograms are therefore posted as a reference only. If use of these nomograms is contemplated, the surgeon should speak directly with Dr Buzard and/or attend one of our courses on the specific operation involved. We have many publications explaining the specifics of the use of these nomograms and these will be extremely helpful supplimental materials for the use of these nomograms. Therefore no promises are made concerning outcome with the use of these nomograms and again, these are posted for reference use only, additionally, if use of nomograms is made in a publication, we would appreciate appropriate reference to our work.
