Dr. Buzard has published over 50 articles, two books and numerous book chapters. He trained with renowned ophthalmologists Dr. Richard Troutman, the “Father of Modern Corneal Surgery” and Dr. Jose Barraquer, the “Father of Modern Refractive Surgery” and has practiced for many years in Las Vegas. He is a clinical associate professor at the University of Nevada Medical School, Tulane University in New Orleans and is an International Honorary Advisor to Tung Wah Eastern Hospital, Hong Kong. He was one of the first ophthalmologists in the world to train with the VISX laser in 1990. The Buzard Eye Institute is among the largest ophthalmic practices in the world and is responsible for many of the advances in ophthalmology over the past 15 years. Dr. Buzard is an undisputed international authority in corneal, cataract and refractive surgery as a result of his extensive training, research and publications, hundreds of presentations around the world and 15 years of practice in Las Vegas.
